
Head of Events
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Events to lead the planning and delivery of large-scale global conferences for TOKEN2049 and SuperAI. This role sits at the center of our event operations, working closely with sponsorship, production, and experience teams to deliver world-class events.
The Head of Events will serve as the primary operational lead across internal teams, production agencies, and third-party vendors, ensuring seamless execution from planning through on-site delivery. This role also oversees the production and logistics of AFTER 2049, our flagship multi-day side event series surrounding TOKEN2049.
This position is ideal for someone highly organized, commercially aware, and experienced in managing complex, high-profile conferences and large-scale event programs.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Delivery
- Lead the planning and execution of flagship conferences and associated events from concept through post-event delivery.
- Ensure a world-class attendee experience across all event touchpoints, including programming, venue setup, networking spaces, and partner activations.
- Develop and manage comprehensive event timelines, operational plans, and delivery schedules.
Production & Vendor Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for production agencies and external vendors, including staging, AV, fabrication, design, and technical suppliers.
- Oversee venue logistics, floorplans, build schedules, and technical production to ensure seamless delivery.
- Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance.
AFTER 2049 Event Series
- Oversee the production and logistics of AFTER 2049, a multi-day series of curated side events taking place around TOKEN2049.
- Coordinate venues, vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure consistent quality and operational excellence across all AFTER 2049 events.
- Manage scheduling, logistics, and production standards across multiple simultaneous venues and partners.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Sponsorship, Experience, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure sponsor activations and event programming are executed to the highest standard.
- Coordinate sponsor requirements with production and experience teams to ensure smooth implementation onsite.
- Maintain clear communication and alignment across internal stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.
Operational Leadership
- Build and refine event operations processes to support the scaling of multiple global events.
- Identify operational risks and proactively solve challenges during planning and on-site execution.
- Lead on-site event operations and coordinate teams, vendors, and agencies during event week.
Budget & Planning
- Develop and manage event budgets across production, logistics, and vendors.
- Track costs and identify efficiencies while maintaining high production quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience delivering large-scale conferences, exhibitions, or global events.
- Proven experience managing high-profile events with thousands of attendees.
- Strong experience working with production agencies, AV teams, and complex event logistics.
- Experience coordinating across multiple internal teams including sponsorship, marketing, and operations.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management experience.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally and be onsite during events.
