You'll work alongside the Executive, Super and Wealth as the operational engine of the portfolio - accountable for the quality and commercial success of every client engagement, building relationships across the sector, and shaping the propositions that establish Quantium as a trusted partner to Australia's major super funds and wealth managers. You'll turn client priorities - member engagement, retirement income, investment analytics, regulatory compliance, digital transformation - into successful engagements, and help build the delivery frameworks and commercial disciplines a growing portfolio needs.
You'll need strong analytical ability, genuine AI fluency, and a commercial instinct for spotting and closing opportunities. If you like building something from scratch with a small, high-calibre team, this is for you.
How You'll Create Impact
- Own the quality and commercial success of every client engagement across the portfolio, establishing effective practices for cross-functional collaboration across analytics, consulting, and technology teams
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite, General Executive, and senior management stakeholders across superannuation fund and wealth management clients - positioning Quantium for follow-on opportunities
- Drive business development within existing relationships and partner with the Executive to open new client relationships and opportunity areas, contributing directly to pipeline growth
- Design and deliver compelling propositions addressing the sector's biggest challenges - member engagement and retention, retirement income solutions, investment management optimisation, regulatory compliance, responsible AI governance, and digital member experiences
- Lead commercial activities including proposal development, pricing, and negotiation within delegation, ensuring outcomes align with revenue and margin targets
- Drive the implementation of AI-enhanced methodologies across engagements, translating Quantium's AI capabilities into tangible solutions for super and wealth clients
- As the team grows, support the career development of your people through balanced feedback, coaching, and structured skill advancement

- Genuine AI fluency: This isn't a role where AI is peripheral. You're comfortable working at the intersection of AI capability and business strategy, and can credibly shape AI-driven solutions with technical teams and senior clients alike.
- Trusted operator: You build relationships at C-suite and senior management level with ease, translating complex technical concepts into business value, and you hold the delivery discipline to manage multiple concurrent engagements to scope, budget, and quality.
Required Experience And Capabilities
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability - someone who can rapidly master new domains, cut through complexity, and get to the heart of a problem. Raw intelligence, drive, and conscientiousness matter most here
- 7+ years across superannuation, wealth management, financial services, data analytics, AI, or management consulting, with a track record of delivering complex engagements - quality of experience matters more than tenure
- Strong AI and data science fluency, with the ability to credibly discuss and shape AI-driven solutions
- Demonstrated commercial capability including business development, proposal development, pricing, and negotiation
- Excellent communication and influencing skills at C-suite and senior management level
- Strong delivery discipline managing concurrent projects or products to scope, budget, and quality
- Tertiary qualification in a quantitative or technical discipline (data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering), finance, economics, or related field
Advantageous: A PhD or similar research degree, hands-on experience applying ML/LLMs to real business problems, or existing knowledge of the Australian super and wealth sector (APRA, ASIC, Retirement Income Covenant). Strong candidates from adjacent financial services backgrounds who can build sector depth quickly are also welcome.
