We're currently hiring Data Scientists and Senior Data Scientists across two of our core verticals in South Africa: 

Quantium Health is a joint venture with Discovery Health, specialising in healthcare-focused data science across health insurance, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, MedTech and retail pharmacies. We're proud to be named by Anthropic as one of their partners helping organisations adopt AI for specialist work in healthcare and life sciences.

Our Financial Services division works with banks and financial institutions across South Africa, delivering analytics and AI solutions that transform how they understand and serve their customers - from behaviour modelling to real-time decisioning.

How will you make an impact?

• Analytics delivery: Own and deliver high-quality analytics, from scoping and data quality assessment through to insights generation and visualisation
• Technical execution: Transform client questions into analytical solutions using advanced data science and AI techniques
• Client collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, translating technical concepts into actionable business insights that drive measurable outcomes
• Foster team growth: Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to building our analytics capabilities

The superpowers you'll be bringing to the team:

• Technical proficiency: 2-5+ years' experience in a technical analytics environment, carrying out data analytics or data science work
• Academic background: Qualifications in engineering, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, physics or a related discipline
• Strong coding skills: Coding and modelling experience in SQL / Python
• Problem solver: Your ability to make the complex simple means you can identify patterns across domains and frame business challenges into analytical solutions
• Storyteller: Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and client stakeholders
• Commercial acumen: Understanding of business needs with the ability to assess the commercial impact of different analytical approaches, balancing what works versus what sounds good
• Domain experience in either financial services or healthcare / healthtech is a plus
