Senior Engineering Program Manager
Who is Quantium?
Quantium is a world leader in data science and artificial intelligence. Established in Australia in 2002, Quantium is a global team of more than 1,200 people across 14 locations with a unique blend of capabilities across product and consulting services to help businesses unlock value from data and analytics. Quantium partners with the world's largest corporations to forge a better, more intelligent world.
This is a high-impact, senior individual contributor role working in close partnership with the Head of Engineering to shape how engineering plans, delivers, and operates at scale.
Sitting within Technology & Delivery, you will act as a Chief of Staff–style partner to engineering leadership, helping turn strategy into execution and bringing structure and momentum to complex initiatives where clarity is still emerging. You will strengthen delivery discipline, improve operating rhythms, and remove friction so engineering teams can focus on building great software.
Operating at the centre of engineering decision-making, you will support Engineering Managers, surface risks and dependencies early, and make progress and impact visible across the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds trust through technical credibility, and wants to influence outcomes through partnership rather than authority.
How you will make an impact
- Strengthen engineering delivery by introducing clear planning, governance, and execution rhythms across teams
- Act as a trusted partner to Engineering Managers, removing coordination and operational overhead so they can focus on people and technical leadership
- Bring structure to ambiguous initiatives, translating strategy and intent into clear, executable plans
- Help shape the moments that define how engineering shows up, from planning and demos to all-hands, improving alignment, transparency, and culture across the organisation
- Support the rollout and adoption of AI-enabled tools and ways of working across engineering, helping teams improve productivity, efficiency, and focus on higher-value work
- Surface risks, dependencies, and delivery trade-offs early to support better decision-making
- Improve visibility into internal engineering work, helping stakeholders understand progress, value, and impact
- Support engineering through periods of change, including org structure shifts and evolving ways of working
The superpowers you will bring to the team
- Deep understanding of how modern software engineering teams build, ship, and operate systems
- Strong delivery and program leadership experience, with the ability to influence without authority
- High trust and credibility with engineers, earned through technical fluency and pragmatic decision-making
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and shaping a role that does not come with a predefined playbook
- A systems-thinking mindset that connects strategy, execution, people, and outcomes
- Clear communication skills that help turn complex work into shared understanding
