AI First Solution Architect

This role sits in our AI-First Innovation Hub — squads where agents carry the delivery volume and people direct, review and own the calls that matter. The toolchain itself is AI-powered: an agentic code-generation pipeline, AI-assisted modernisation tooling and AI-native product features, all on a single Source of Truth with human gates wherever work touches production.

What you will do...

The AI First Solution Architect has agents lay out options grounded in the Source of Truth, then owns the architecture call, the trade-offs and the guardrails.

Architecture & Decisions

• Own the architecture decision and its decision record

• Choose among agent-generated options grounded in the Source of Truth

• Set the patterns the squad follows

Technical Strategy

• Connect technical direction to business outcomes

• Map impact and dependencies across the system

• Validate estimation assumptions and delivery feasibility

AI-Augmented Design & Analysis

• Use agents to generate and stress-test options, map system impact and draft decision records

• Review AI output for correctness and long-term fit

• Keep humans owning the irreversible calls

Governance & Guardrails

• Set the architectural guardrails agents and engineers work within

• Ensure non-functional requirements (security, performance, scalability) are defined and met

• Guard maintainability against low-code and AI velocity

Stakeholder & Advisory

• Translate architecture into business-relevant terms

• Facilitate decision forums

• Advise on modernisation sequencing and risk

Who you are...

• 7+ years in software, including architecture and solution design

• Strong across web application architecture, data / schema design, integration patterns and NFRs

• Able to lead technical direction and own decision records

• Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders

Nice to have's

• Experience in OutSystems / low-code

• Experience in Azure

• Domain-driven design and monolith decomposition

• AI / agentic architecture exposure

AI-First Practice — Required

• An AI-integrated practice you have shaped deliberately — you can say what you delegate to AI, what you share with it, and where you keep full human ownership, and why.

• Discriminating judgement about AI output — you know when a result is right, plausibly wrong, or confidently wrong, and you do not ship AI drafts without review.

• You stay current on the AI tooling ecosystem (agent platforms, Claude skills/plugins, low-code AI extensions), trial new capability against real delivery problems, and adopt what genuinely raises the bar.

AI-First Practice — Preferred

• Have used agents to explore and pressure-test architecture options

• Can describe an irreversible call you kept in human hands, and why
