Senior Product Manager
About Octopus Deploy:
Octopus Deploy sets the standard for Continuous Delivery, empowering software teams to deliver value in an agile way. Over 4,000 organizations globally – including Ubisoft, Xero, Stack Overflow, NASA, and Disney – rely on our Continuous Delivery, GitOps, and release orchestration solutions.
Founded in Australia in 2012, our team of over 300 Octonauts now spans the globe. We combine high growth and big ambitions with a sustainable, balanced working environment. Our revenue has grown consistently between 20–50% every year for the past 9 years, and we’ve been profitable for 10 out of the past 12 years. Octopus now provides the industry's most comprehensive Continuous Delivery solution for organizations operating at scale.
We’ve been remote-first since 2015 and work with an uncommon level of transparency. You can read our public handbook to learn how we work. We have a transparent approach to compensation that ensures people doing the same work with the same skill get paid the same, with well-defined career pathways. We foster a supportive, collaborative, and high-trust environment. We leave our job titles at the door and focus on doing what’s best for our customers and team. Our leaders never shy away from answering the tough questions at our all-hands calls or in 1:1s. We conduct interviews and onboarding virtually as part of being a remote-first company.
We're looking for a Product Manager to help drive our Core CD mission.
Continuous Delivery is the problem Octopus was built to solve, and it's about to matter more than it ever has. The human-only software team is obsolete; AI agents are our new co-pilots. The constraint in software delivery is no longer writing code; it's getting that code to production safely, reliably, and with the governance enterprises demand.
The Core CD mission is our focused reinvestment in the job Octopus is hired to do. We're setting the standard for enterprise-grade Continuous Delivery for the next decade, by owning the Path to Production, from commit to customer.
This is a pivotal mission for the company. It underpins our growth strategy and the story we take to market in an AI-powered world.
Why this job is exciting
- Shape the future of Continuous Delivery. You’ll help thousands of engineering teams ship software faster, safer, and with confidence.
- We're at a genuine inflection point: AI will be flooding pipelines with more changes than ever, and Octopus needs to be the place where that meets enterprise-grade rigor. You'll help define what that looks like.
- Empowered teams. The best outcomes come from teams that own their decisions. You’ll have real autonomy to shape direction, backed by the support and trust of your peers.
- Collaborate with experienced, passionate peers. You’ll join a team of engineers, designers, and product thinkers who care deeply about their craft and about helping customers succeed.
- A stable, independent company. Octopus is profitable, self-funded, and growing sustainably — giving you the freedom to focus on building great products.
- Remote-first and flexible. We’ve been remote for over ten years, with a culture built around trust, autonomy, and asynchronous collaboration
What you’ll do
- Work closely with customers. You’ll spend time understanding how real teams use Octopus, uncovering pain points and opportunities to make their lives easier.
- Solve problems, as a team. You’ll partner with engineers, designers, and other PMs to explore ideas, validate solutions, and deliver changes that matter.
- Balance discovery and delivery. You’ll guide your team through the full product lifecycle, from research and prioritization to release and iteration.
- Champion clarity. You’ll communicate decisions, context, and priorities clearly so your team can stay aligned and focused on outcomes.
- Contribute to the craft of product management at Octopus. You’ll share what you learn, help shape our processes, and make product thinking stronger across the company.
We’re looking for someone like you who
- Has multiple years of experience working on an Enterprise B2B product
- Is comfortable managing a technical product.
- Can guide discussions with customers to uncover opportunities
- Has experience assessing opportunities and setting direction for the product/product area
- Has a highly collaborative approach and creates alignment within the organization across executives, decision-makers, and influencers
- Has worked closely with marketing, sales, or customer success teams to identify and prioritize changes that will unblock product adoption
- Understands software development lifecycles - web and cloud applications are ideal, and we will invest in growing your knowledge
- Loves technology and is excited by the potential to solve problems and shape the future
