The Opportunity

We are seeking a Platform Architect to lead the build-out of our infrastructure platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role: you will drive the platform forward by making key architectural decisions, setting technical direction, and building alongside the team. You will mentor and guide platform engineers while working closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure the platform supports what we are taking to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and manage scalable, multi-account infrastructure on AWS/Azure, including VPC/VNet topology, routing, private networking, and secure ingress/egress.
  • Lead the build and evolution of EKS/AKS clusters: lifecycle management, autoscaling (Karpenter/Cluster Autoscaler), upgrades, and rollout strategies (blue/green, canary).
  • Architect and oversee reusable, versioned Terraform modules with strong testing, linting, and dependency management. Implement policy-as-code to enforce compliance and security guardrails.
  • Design and build GitHub Actions / Argo CD pipelines for declarative, automated deployments. Integrate security, policy, and testing stages into every pipeline.
  • Interface with security teams to Implement image signing, SBOMs, SAST/SCA, and container scanning. Manage identity and access through SSO/SCIM, least-privilege RBAC, and secrets lifecycle management.
  • Improve observability and alerting using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana. Define SLOs/SLIs and automate incident detection and response.
  • Design and extend automation in Go, Python, or TypeScript for infrastructure workflows, compliance checks, and operational tooling.
  • Influence the platform roadmap, publishing ADRs and reference architectures to guide the engineering team.
  • Mentor platform engineers through pairing, design reviews, and hands-on technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to translate client requirements into platform capabilities and align infrastructure with project timelines.
  • Implement FinOps practices including capacity planning, utilization metrics, and right-sizing recommendations.

Business Qualifications

  • 6+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles with production ownership, including experience leading or mentoring engineers.
  • Deep hands-on experience operating Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) and infrastructure via Terraform at scale.
  • Strong cloud fundamentals: IAM, networking (VPCs, subnets, routing), DNS, TLS, and private connectivity.
  • Proficiency with GitOps workflows (Argo CD, Flux) and CI/CD pipeline design.
  • Proven background in observability, incident response, and operational resilience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Ideal candidate would have experience in a client facing solutions engineer role.
  • Solid Linux systems and automation foundation.

Preferred Qualificaitons

  • Designing Terraform module registries or internal IaC frameworks.
  • Organization-level AWS/Azure governance (Control Tower, Landing Zones).
  • Infrastructure policy and compliance automation (OPA, HashiCorp Sentinel).
  • Security tooling (Cloudflare, Artifactory, SonarQube, GitHub Advanced Security).
  • FinOps and cost optimization across multi-cloud or hybrid workloads.
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
