Associate Product Designer
Location: Remote (US-based)

About the Role
We're seeking a talented and motivated Associate Product Designer to join our globally distributed team. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to create intuitive, human-centered digital experiences that solve real problems for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career designer who thrives in a remote environment and is eager to grow their skills while contributing to meaningful product work.
What You'll Do
- Design Human-Centered Solutions: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web applications that prioritize user needs and business objectives
- Collaborate Across Time Zones: Work asynchronously and synchronously with product managers, engineers, and designers located in different countries
- Map Service Experiences: Contribute to service design initiatives by creating customer journey maps, personas, and touchpoint analyses that reveal opportunities for holistic improvements
- Maintain and Refine Design Systems: Contribute to the evolution of our design system by updating components, identifying inconsistencies, and suggesting refinements that improve usability and scalability across our product suite
- Iterate Based on Feedback: Incorporate feedback from stakeholders, users, and team members to refine designs through multiple iterations, while maintaining up-to-date documentation that reflects design decisions and changes
- Foster collaboration between Product and Engineering: Work closely with product managers and engineers to understand technical constraints, feasibility, and implementation timelines, ensuring designs are both human-focused and technically sound through collaborative iteration and open dialogue
- Stay Current: Keep up with design trends, tools, and best practices in the product design field
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or related field (internships and relevant coursework count)
- Portfolio demonstrating your design process, problem-solving abilities, and final deliverables
- Proficiency in a design tool such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Basic understanding of human-centered design principles and methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills and ability to work independently
- Comfortable working asynchronously and managing your schedule across different time zones
Desired qualifications:
- Familiarity with prototyping tools like Cursor, Lovable or Anima
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
- Some experience with design systems and component libraries
- Strong visual design skills with attention to typography, color, layout, and hierarchy
