About the Role

As a Senior AI Engineer - Data Science, you will be a key technical leader within our advanced analytics and AI group. You will design, build, and deploy sophisticated machine learning systems—particularly LLM‑driven solutions—that solve high‑value, real‑world problems for enterprise clients.

You’ll be part of a culture that prizes technical excellence, creativity, and continuous learning. Beyond technical depth, you will influence strategy, mentor emerging talent, and help shape our approach to responsible and scalable AI.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and deploy machine learning models and LLM systems that drive meaningful impact for our products and users
  • Analyse complex, large‑scale structured and unstructured datasets to uncover insights and opportunities
  • Enhance LLM output quality across diverse use cases, including optimisation of multi‑step reasoning chains
  • Lead MLOps initiatives including model performance tracking, benchmark design, quality assurance, and compliance
  • Influence long‑term data and AI strategy, including governance, ethical AI, and scalable frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and executive stakeholders to deliver innovative, production‑ready solutions
  • Mentor and uplift junior data scientists, setting standards for excellence

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with hands‑on experience and a track record of delivering impactful ML and AI outcomes
  • Experience within the AI sector
  • Experience with NLP techniques: LSTMs, CNNs, transformers, topic modelling, supervised NLP
  • Commercial experience with modern LLM ecosystems (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines, multi‑agent frameworks, GPT‑based systems)
  • Python experience focused on machine learning and NLP
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders
  • Empathy, humility, and a growth mindset—open to feedback and committed to collaboration
  • Comfort working in an agile, fast‑evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree or Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
  • Knowledge of other software languages in addition to Python
