Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated AI Research Intern to join our team in Singapore. This role sits at the intersection of investment research and emerging AI technologies. You will support our ongoing efforts to evaluate, prototype, and implement cutting-edge AI tools that can enhance decision-making, research efficiency, and operational workflows across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and evaluate state-of-the-art agentic AI technologies, including LLMs; open-source agentic frameworks such as LangGraph and Pydantic AI; agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Open Code; and autonomous agent systems such as OpenClaw and Hermes Agent.
  • Build proof-of-concept workflows and lightweight prototypes to validate practical AI applications across financial research, investment analysis, and operational processes.
  • Help design, build, and evaluate the tool and data integration layer behind AI workflows, including connections to internal data sources, APIs, MCP servers, reusable skills, prompt libraries, workflow templates, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Analyze tool performance, assess risks and benefits, and compile findings into concise, actionable reports.
  • Collaborate with investment, operations, and engineering teams to explore AI use cases aligned with real-world hedge fund challenges.

Requirements:

  • Candidates holding or pursuing a BS/BA/MS degree in Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in Gen AI and their practical applications in finance and investment research.
  • Proficient in Python. Experience with API integration, prompt engineering, LLM applications, or AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Pydantic AI, or Hugging Face is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial markets or investment research workflows is preferred but not required.
  • Capable of synthesizing technical findings into clear insights and communicating them.
  • Able to commit for at least a 6-month internship.
