At Dawn Aerospace, we're building a reusable spaceplane and working to make routine access to space a reality.

Behind every flight is a huge amount of software. The Spaceplane Software team develops and maintains the systems that power the programme, from mission control and flight software through to the ERP, manufacturing and operational systems used to design, build and fly our vehicles.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Business Automation to take ownership of the software that keeps our business running. You'll work across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance and operations to identify opportunities, build solutions, and deliver tools that have a direct impact on how we develop and manufacture aerospace hardware.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems, working closely with stakeholders, and owning products from concept through to deployment.

What you'll do

• Design, build and maintain business-critical software across the full stack
• Develop frontend and backend applications that support the Spaceplane programme
• Design and maintain databases and supporting infrastructure
• Create intuitive user experiences that enable teams to work more effectively
• Build and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and operational tooling
• Own the roadmap and priorities for Dawn's internal business systems
• Work directly with teams across the company to understand challenges and deliver practical software solutions
• Take projects from idea to implementation, operating with a high degree of autonomy and ownership

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
• 3+ years' professional experience in full-stack software development
• Strong TypeScript development experience
• Experience designing, building and maintaining production software systems
• Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to own outcomes

Nice to have

Experience with one or more of:

• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Production or Manufacturing Engineering environments
• Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Cloud infrastructure, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
• Product ownership or technical leadership responsibilities

Our international teams are distributed across four locations: the Netherlands, France, New Zealand, and the USA.
