ERP & Production Data Controller
Dawn Aerospace is looking for an ERP & Production Data Controller to own the accuracy, structure, and flow of production and inventory data across our ERP systems.
This role sits at the centre of our manufacturing operations, ensuring that engineering, production, and planning teams are working from reliable, consistent, and up-to-date data. You will help ensure production orders are correctly generated and released, and that our ERP reflects the real state of the business as we scale.
You will work closely with Production Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Operations to keep data aligned across the product lifecycle — from development through to full production.
If you’re looking for a purely administrative data role, this is probably not for you. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, challenges unclear inputs, and actively improves how data supports real-world production.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract primarily to update our existing system, and establish our processes for data management going forward. At the end of this project, we will have a better understanding of what support and roles are required to maintain that system or other business needs in our supply chain.
What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain SKU master data, BOMs, routings, and production structures in ERP
- Ensure production data reflects current engineering definitions and manufacturing processes
- Generate and release internal production orders with accurate data, timing, and quantities
- Maintain labour standards, asset data, and other inputs supporting planning and costing
- Identify and resolve data issues, inconsistencies, and gaps across systems
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to clarify incomplete or evolving data
- Ensure ERP reflects real material status (e.g. quarantine, rework, scrap, returns)
- Support planning, scheduling, and execution through reliable, high-quality data
- Improve ERP workflows, data structures, and operational processes over time
- Act as the internal point of contact for ERP data issues and improvements
- Support the transition of parts from R&D into production-ready data structures
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and a structured, logical approach to data
- Ability to take ownership and make decisions around data quality and readiness
- Comfortable working across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
- Confident pushing back when data is incomplete or not production-ready
- Practical mindset with the ability to balance accuracy and operational urgency
- Strong communication skills and ability to align across teams
- Experience with ERP systems, manufacturing data, or production environments preferred
- Interest in aerospace, engineering, or high-growth hardware environments beneficial
Why Join Dawn Aerospace?
At Dawn, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering and operations, helping ensure that the data powering our production systems is as robust as the hardware we build. Your work will directly impact manufacturing execution, scalability, and reliability across programs that operate in space.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape how production data systems evolve in a fast-growing aerospace company, while working closely with the teams building and delivering real flight hardware.
Diversity & Inclusion
At Dawn Aerospace, we believe that diverse teams build better solutions. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences are valued and supported to do their best work.
About Dawn Aerospace
Dawn Aerospace is a space transportation company with a purpose.
Our mission is to enable the next generation of space users by providing more sustainable and scalable ways to access and move around in space. We believe this access, in the form of a transportation network, will fundamentally change what’s possible from space. We currently focus on three areas of space transportation:
- In-space propulsion
We're a leading supplier of turnkey green propulsion systems for various classes of satellites. Our systems utilise safe, accessible propellants and we have over 170 of these propulsion units on more than 40 operational satellites already. A further 200 units are in production. - In-space servicing
Coupled with our propulsion expertise, we are ensuring that our customers' satellites are refuellable. In the coming years, Dawn will offer a refueling service to enable life extension of customer satellites. This new market is aligned with our sustainability goal to ensue a clean and safe space for everyone! - Spaceplane
We are developing the fastest and highest-flying aircraft ever to take off from a runway, combining the extreme performance of rocket propulsion with the reusability of conventional airplanes to enable high-frequency, low-cost access to sub-orbital space.
Our international teams are distributed across four locations: the Netherlands, France, New Zealand, and the USA.
